Shirin Majd and Sweet Sound Ensemble release Shoe Box with Basir Faghih Nasiri. This song focuses on the experiences of women growing up in Jordan. This is the first track from Stolen Identity, a new multi-art, music project created and led by Shirin Majd. It’s a collection of stories by women for women around the world. These are stories of real experiences of women who overcome abuse, cultural taboos, and sexism and take their lives back towards freedom and happiness.

Shirin Majd is an Iranian-born & Brisbane-based classically trained singer, songwriter, and the Artistic Director of the Sweet Sound Ensemble. The group aspires to create a fusion of music from diverse cultures around the world. Throughout her career, Shirin Majd has been an active artistic creator across Australia and internationally, and promotes cultural awareness and understanding with an emphasis on equality for women around the world.
